ALISON HASTINGS – OFFICE MANAGER

Born in Glasgow, Alison has lived in Hamilton and spent a short amount of her childhood in Australia but moved back when she was 12 and her life is now in Dumfries with her Husband and her three children.

Alison worked at the Crichton Royal Psychiatric Hospital for many years, once that closed she wanted to continue her learning so enrolled at Glasgow University to study and graduate with an MA degree in Health and Social Policy. Alison worked as a member at the Children’s Panel before coming to work at Castle Hearing. She has worked as the Branch administrator for over 6 years then recently this year she got promoted to Office Manager. Alison enjoys the relaxed atmosphere and the variety of work that happens daily. She always has a smile on her face and is very welcoming to all customers.

At the weekend you will find Alison being a taxi driver for her children or if she gets a rare night off she enjoys nothing better than a glass of wine and settling down to read a psychological thriller book. Ian Rankin being her favourite.
